PC STRANDS
(Prestressed Concrete Strands)
High-quality 7-wire strands made from high carbon steel for prestressed concrete applications.

Overview
Plain PC Strand, also known as Plain Prestressed Concrete Steel Strand, is a twisted bundle of high-carbon steel wires — typically 2, 3, or 7 wires — without surface indentations. Engineered for high tensile strength and low relaxation, this strand is ideal for reinforcing various concrete structures.
Quality Control at EPCW

Technical Specifications
7-Wire PC Strands
According to BS 5896 Standard
EPCW supplies high-performance 7-wire prestressed concrete (PC) strands in multiple grades and sizes, engineered for high tensile strength, low relaxation, and consistent performance. All strands are manufactured in accordance with BS 5896 and other international standards.
- A) The modulus of elasticity may be taken to be 195 GPa (kN/mm2).
- B) The nominal mass per metre is calculated from the nominal cross-sectional area and a density of 7.81 kg/dm3.
- C) The specified characteristic value of the 0.1% proof force is calculated for all grades and diameters as 88% of the specified characteristic value of the maximum force.
